High-Performance, High-Configuration, 1404 and 1604 Multi-Purpose Wheeled Tractors for Farming

Since the configuration directly affects a tractor's performance, efficiency, and lifespan, agricultural machinery enthusiasts typically focus on key configurations such as power, chassis, rear axle, 

and cab when choosing a tractor to assess its cost-effectiveness.

Given the importance of configuration, many tractor series names are related to their specifications. For example, Lutong tractors differentiate their series configurations by different chassis.

Today, we'll review the Lutong TD series tractors. This series uses the TD chassis and TD axles, offering one 140 horsepower model and two 160 horsepower models. They boast powerful configurations, 

reliable performance, and are all national subsidy-compliant models.

The 140hp tractor model is the Lutong-1404B, featuring four-wheel drive, hydraulic steering, a Class II suspension compatible with various agricultural implements, a high-power, high-pressure common 

rail Dongfanghong six-cylinder engine, a vertical dual-cylinder high-pressure soil-lifting device, a combination instrument panel with Chinese character fault display, a high-efficiency KA pre-filter and 

Donaldson air filter, a front 16-pin and rear 8-pin modular gearbox with shuttle shifters, two sets of hydraulic outputs, and front and rear flat tire sizes of 13.6-24 and 16.9-34 respectively. A cab is also standard.

The 160hp tractor comes in two models: the LTD1604-4 and LTD1604-6, both also four-wheel drive tractors. The main difference between these two tractors lies in their engines: the LTD1604-4 uses a 

Dongfanghong four-cylinder engine, while the LTD1604-6 uses a Dongfanghong six-cylinder engine. The LTD1604-6 is also slightly larger and has slightly larger tires than the LTD1604-4.

However, the other major configurations of these two 160-horsepower tractors are largely the same: Class II suspension, imported clutch, hydraulically assisted clutch, two sets of hydraulic outputs, 

and a 24+8 shift gearbox, offering convenient operation and high efficiency. As key models in the Lutong TD series, the LTD1604-2 and LTD1604-6 tractors also feature a vertical dual-cylinder high-pressure 

soil-entry lift, a combination instrument panel, a KA pre-filter, and a Donaldson air filter.

Of course, these three Lutong TD series tractors also share common features—a split-type power take-off shaft for easy disassembly and maintenance, a high-cleanliness, low-failure-rate hydraulic system, 

and an independent oil circuit.

In addition to the TD series, Lutong also has TB series, LX series, TG series and other tractor models, covering 60-240+ horsepower, which will be discussed in detail later.
