Lutong LTS206H 6 Ton Hydraulic Single Drum Vibratory Road Roller
Road Roller Troubleshooting and Repair: Steering System
1. Unable to Steering
Causes:
1.1 Broken steering gear connecting pin.
1.2 Damaged steering spring.
1.3 Damaged steering pump.
Solution: Replace.
2. Increased Steering Turns, Insufficient Steering Torque
Causes:
2.1 Oil leak in pipelines, damaged seals.
2.2 Internal leakage in the cylinder.
2.3 Worn steering gear rotor, reduced displacement.
2.4 Steering valve pressure too low.
2.5 Severely worn steering pump.
Solution:
2.1 Replace seals, tighten joints.
2.2 Replace seals or the entire assembly.
2.3 Replace the rotor or steering gear assembly.
2.4 Adjust the pressure to the design pressure.
2.5 Replace the gears or pump assembly.
3. Slow and Difficult Steering
Causes:
3.1 Improper operation, diesel engine speed too low.
3.2 Severe leakage in the steering pump.
3.3 Poor lubrication at the steering hinge bearing.
3.4 Insufficient axial clearance in the steering hinge bearing.
Solutions:
3.1 Increase engine speed.
3.2 Inspect and repair.
3.3 Add grease.
3.4 Adjust clearance.
4. Unstable steering with vibration.
Causes:
4.1 Low oil level in the tank; air drawn into the oil pump.
4.2 Cracks in the pipes or damaged seals allowing air to enter.
4.3 After prolonged parking, air separates from the oil and accumulates in the upper part of the steering cylinder.
Solutions:
4.1 Add oil.
4.2 Repair or replace damaged pipes and seals.
4.3 Perform several full steering maneuvers from left to right and right to left in place to expel air.
The Lutong LTS206H road roller is a 6-ton hydraulic single-drum vibratory roller with an attractive appearance, compact structure, and low center of gravity for smoother operation. It is suitable for compacting
subgrades and pavements of non-cohesive materials such as soil, gravel, and sand, and is also used for foundation compaction in railway, airport, port, dock, and dam projects.
