Tire Mounted Vibratory Road Roller for Municipal Road Compaction
Road Roller Troubleshooting and Repair: Braking System
1. Insufficient Braking Force
Causes:
1.1 Low air pressure due to air leaks in the lines or continuous brake use.
1.2 Wear and leakage in the booster piston cup.
1.3 Air leak in the pedal valve.
1.4 Clogged brake master cylinder inlet.
1.5 Insufficient brake fluid in the brake master cylinder.
1.6 Oil leaks in the brake lines or caliper disc brakes.
1.7 Air in the brake lines.
1.8 Worn or oil-soaked brake pads.
Solutions:
1.1 Locate and eliminate the leak.
1.2 Replace the brake pad.
1.3 Inspect and repair.
1.4 Clean and clear blockages.
1.5 Refill brake fluid.
1.6 Inspect.
1.7 Bleed the brake pads.
1.8 Replace with new brake pads.
2. Brake cannot be released normally.
Possible causes:
2.1 Bleeding blockage in the pedal.
2.2 Malfunctioning booster.
2.3 Air in the brake fluid system.
2.4 Brake upper piston cup flipped up, piston stuck.
Solutions:
2.1 Inspect and repair.
2.2 Inspect the booster.
2.3 Bleed the air.
2.4 Inspect, clean, and replace the oil seal.
3. Air pressure rises slowly when the engine is running, and drops rapidly after stopping.
Possible causes:
3.1 Wear or malfunction of parts such as the air compressor piston and cylinder.
3.2 Loose and leaking pipe joints.
3.3 Leaking pedal valve and oil-water separator.
3.4 The drain valve and safety valve on the air tank are not sealing properly.
Solutions:
3.1 Inspect, repair, or replace.
3.2 Tighten and replace the seals.
4. Pulling to one side during braking
Causes:
4.1 One side of the brake is faulty or ineffective.
4.2 Brake booster failure.
4.3 Uneven tire pressure on the left and right wheels.
Solutions:
4.1 Inspect and repair.
4.2 Ensure tire pressure is equal on both sides.
The Lutong LTC203P road roller is a 3-ton tire-mounted, fully hydraulic vibratory roller, combining the advantages of both steel wheel and pneumatic tire rollers. It is suitable for municipal roads, highway
maintenance, and compaction work on narrow surfaces such as trench foundations, building construction, pipeline backfilling, and sports fields.
