1. Roller Does Not Move or Cannot Engage Gear

Causes:

1.1 The shift or selection cable's travel is not properly adjusted or is stuck, preventing proper shifting or selection.

1.2 The main clutch is not completely disengaged, preventing complete power cut-off during shifting and causing difficulty in shifting.

1.3 Excessive bearing wear reduces the parallelism between the driving and driven shafts, preventing proper gear meshing.

1.4 Severe gear wear causes difficulty in meshing the driving and driven gears.

1.5 Excessive wear of the shift fork prevents it from shifting properly, preventing the sliding gear from reaching the engagement position.

Solutions:

1.1 Readjust the shift or selection cable travel.

1.2 Re-inspect and adjust the main clutch.

1.3 Replace the bearings.

1.4 Repair and replace damaged gears in pairs.

1.5 Repair or replace the shift fork by welding.

2. Overheating

Causes:

2.1 Insufficient or excessive lubricating oil.

2.2 Damaged or leaking seals.

2.3 Clogged vent.

Solutions:

2.1 Add sufficient qualified lubricating oil.

2.2 Replace the seals.

2.3 Clean the vent.

3. Excessive Noise

Causes:

3.1 Excessive gear wear.

3.2 Damaged bearings.

Solutions: Replace the gears or bearings.
